From the offset I could tell that func's sUrface1030 was no ordinary mouse pad, for starter the mat was packaged in an attractive rectangular sliver tin with ‘fUnc Industries’ embossed of the front. While this isn't the first time I've seen this type of packaging – being not dissimilar from razor's practice of packaging their mouse in cylinder tins – though I still feel it conveys a sense of ‘coolness’. Opening the tin revealed the black foam insulation within lay the three components that make up the fUnc mouse sUrface. What was surprising however is the inclusion of a manual – first mouse pad I'd ever seen come with a manual! Skimming over the manual revealed details for not only setting up the mouse pad and cord clip, but also for simple maintenance of the mouse."
