Luckily we live during a time when ram costs are much lower then before. Back when the 166 was around EDO ram was around and it cost a lot of money due to a low supply but high demand. Later around 1998 prices dropped 75% right of the bat as soon as SD-Ram kicked in and supplies soared just in time for the [dot].com boom and this is continuing thru today with DDR-Ram and RD-Ram kicking in to high gear."
