true 16x?" The answer is more of a mix between yes and no, so how about maybe? Under Linux, you likely won't get a full blown 2.4MB/sec writing done. My results were pretty close to that, but were slightly off. It is also a matter of if your buffer is going to stay full or not. With the
Burn-Proof Technology you are not supposed to get buffer under run errors, but it can still slow your burning. "
