"After doing just a little research into this type of problem for this article, I was able to locate a program in just a few minutes that would scan a set of IP addresses and return the IP addresses that had network sharing exposed. I installed one such program and scanned a subnet of 255 addresses that I knew my local cable modem company used. It returned 5 PCs that were exposed."
