Iwill Corporation launches BD133u Desktop Mainboard with Intel® 815EP B- Step Chipset and introduces SuperAudioTM technology

Thursday June 28, 2001 Irvine, CA - Iwill Corporation today announced release of its latest Universal Socket 370 motherboard BD133u embedded with the latest Intel® 815EP B-Step Chipset. The feature rich design includes 133MHz Front Side Bus (FSB) support for the full range of Intel® FC-PGA processors (CeleronTM and PentiumTM III) up to 1GHz processor speeds and newly released FC-PGA2 1.2GHz processors. Iwill also introduces implementation of SuperAudioTM technology, which utilizes Sony®/Philips® Digital InterFace (SPDIF) in combination with 6-Channel Hardware Sound to offer the most unique audio experience currently available.

Ultra-Fast 133MHz FSB is now needed more than ever as the latest development in operating systems and software applications continue to tax the system hardware. With processor speeds now exceeding the 1.2 GHz barriers, increasing the Front Side Bus is a good way of improving overall system performance.

Maximum Expansion opportunities are now available in the new BD133u series design. Native dual channel ATA-100 support ensures consistent reliability during data transfers. Expansion slots are available for 6 x 32 bit PCI, 1 x CNR slot, and 1 AGP 4X port. 3 DIMM slots support up to 512MB of 100MHz/133MHz bus system memory (PC133, PC100 SDRAM and ESDRAM supported).

SuperAudioTM and Onboard 6-Channel Hardware Sound is one way Iwill rewards its customers. Built around the C-media's powerful CMI8378 6-Channel and SPDIF Hardware Sound controller, Iwill's SuperAudioTM option enables users to take full advantage of digital audio connections through RCA connectors or TOSLINK sockets (digital in/ digital out ports) and thereby appreciate their favorite CDs, DVDs, LPs, and Movies in digital quality sound. Iwill's sound solution supports 32 voice HRTF 3D extension positional audio, Environmental Audio eXtention (EAX), and is completely compatible with Microsoft's DirectSound 3D.

MicroStepping Technology was developed by Iwill to offer ease in adjustment of Front Side Bus via continuous 1Mhz increments up to 200MHz. Developed for DIY users that love to experiment with over-clocking, when over-clocking goes beyond its limit, Microstepping's intelligent default function will take you back to its original setting.

VOICE ALERT Technology was developed by Iwill to offer users with the ability to diagnose their own PC troubles without having to call in for technical support. Have a problem with your computer? VOICE ALERT diagnosis the problem with your PC and TELLs you in a live voice what the problem is, so you can find a fast and quick solution, eliminating PC down time.

With a feature rich design engineered for the professionals, and specifications demanded by the consumers, Iwill's BD133u is a true performance motherboard with the best value available.
