"The positive fact about this cache is that it's 8 way associative, while the older Celeron had a 4 way associative cache, which decreased efficiency. In fact Intel had to use a 4 way associative cache into Coppermine Celeron because they used the same core to manufacture Pentium III and Celeron, but on Celeron 256Kb of cache was disabled. So that the new Celeron is more a Pentium III-S than a Celeron, except for the lower cache size and the bigger latency."
