"A while ago I'd had the thought of using temperature controlled fans inside my case. All this messing about with Bay/Rheobuses is all very well, but in the age of automation, I want my PC to know that my PC is too hot and sort it out for me. I wondered if I could use this thing to power other devices. After all, all it does is provide a linear variable voltage (between 6v and Input 12v) depending on the probe temperature (20-40oC or 35-55oC) so there's no reason it couldn't say, make a light get dimmer or brighter depending on how hot my case was?"
