The Idea was to make a box that could be easily hauled around, and could withstand the abuse that a LAN box typically goes through. I didn't want to be hauling around a monitor, so the Macintosh Color Classic's chassis seemed the best way to go. There were probably other ways to do this that would have been a lot easier, but I just couldn't resist chopping up another Color Classic.
