Corsair XMS2400 DDR - FrostyTech.com Corsair XMS2400 DDR
Fri Jan 25, 2002 | 12:02P| PermaLink
A while ago we received an email as to why or no information was available at AMDWORLD about Corsair memory from one of there representatives and in simple facts we simply never or found any outlets here in the UK .So promptly a batch of XMS2400 (CM64SD256-2400CL2H. ) PC2400 DDR memory was shipped out to us for analysing. Now recently we have focused much on the memory performance of many motherboards and their chipset platforms. As many of you will know we have a particular direction of preferring the new NVIDIA® nForce chipset platform and not to be bias towards the AMD processor manufacturer we are now including the performance of the Intel P4 based chipset the VIA P4X266A in our articles where related to the products. Also we should note highly now the use SDRAM PC133 type ram is now fast approaching the end of its retail life though in saying that we have noticed some of the latest Pentium motherboards recently released still using PC133 type memory why we will never know but our guess is cost and excessive component stock levels. This XMS2400 (CM64SD256-2400CL2H. ) type is manufactured of specification to PC2400 DDR SDRAM type and offers support guaranteed up to 300MHz DDR performance and we are intrigued to see on the improvements as this is often recommended from many hardware enthusiasts who wish to optimize every aspect of there system.
