VIA may have been the first to introduce PC1600/PC2100 DDR memory to the Pentium 4 platform, but SiS were the first to take the next step. When SiS officially released the 645 chipset they showcased the worlds first DDR333 supportive open architecture chipset for the Pentium 4 platform. They also introduced the new MuTIOLR technology to provide peak bandwidth up to 533MB/s between the North and South Bridge.
