Antec's ks-282 (300watt) midtower case - Antec's ks-282 (300watt) midtower case

Today we take a look at the Antec KS-282 Mid Tower Case. With a very solid, attractive design, this was a very popular mid-size solution to many builders yesteryear. The case is designed with 0.8mm of metal for the chassis. This calls for a slightly heavy, but extremely rigid design., and with it's easy slide open door it meets all the requirements of a frequent LAN partyist or even a ferocious over-clocker. The system does indeed stay cool with it's many vents in the back, but there are no vents/grilles in the front for air intake, (except for a small hole pointed at the ground) a definite downside to this case. Also, due to the thin rigid chassis, I found that several brands of fans all vibrated at times to an annoying extent. None of which could be fixed with a tightened screw, but only with what I assume, Gorilla glue or even generic super-glue. Aside the vibration and ventilation problems, the major problem is its lack of the Pentium IV processor power adapter. Antec supplied TR with their hefty model, the 300 watt power supply, and even on here there was no availability of any such connector.
