This version of the Cordless Mouseman Optical uses a 2nd generation Agilent Technologies sensor that has higher resolution and does the job with less power. The low power is what makes the Cordless Mouseman Optical possible. Logitech also claim to use a proprietary smart power technology that enables the battery in the mouse to last for months! That sounds incredible and too good to be true. So far, I have been using the mouse for a few weeks now, although on and off, but the mouse still seems to work fine. That red LED illuminating the mouse mat surface still seems to be as bright as ever, which leads me to be believe Logitech’s claims.
