First up, the Acer CRW 2010A CD writer. It's got a massive 20X CD-R write speed, but that's not as fast as you might think. I throw a variety of different CD-Rs at it, figure out how fast it really runs in different burn modes, tell you what it means when your new drive can't seem to get a
decent data flow even on your red-hot sexy-mama PC, and explain what CAV and P-CAV mean when they're at home, and how that means 12X can be 80% as fast as 20X.
