And anyway, what kind of bragging rights do you get with a Voodoo5 5500 AGP these days?? So I decided to put down some (OK, a LOT) of my hard-earned readies (yes, we civil servants DO get on with some work now and again) on a GeForce3. I had a look at some comparisons of the various versions and settled on a short list of three: the Asus, the Gainward and the Hercules.
Then those nice people over at http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ got a stock of Gainwards with a little extra (more later) and so I was decided - the Gainward it would be.
