"In the past year Intel has done a good job of staying one or two steps a head of AMD in processor speeds. They worked past their manufacturing problems that plagued them for much of the past year, and have had one successful launch of their P4 line of processors after another. Building on
a great year, last month they released their 1.8Ghz processor, and now barely a month later, are launching their 2.0Ghz processor."
