Iomega has done it again. Following the tradition of its previous 12x and 16x CD-RW drives, they have again enlisted Plextor to manufacture their first batch of 24x writers. The Iomega CDRW9600INT-A should score the same full marks as the Plextor PlexWriter PX-W2410TA. The results have shown too, that it deserves that score. Granted, the sub-channel data performance of this drive leaves much to be desired. But that black mark can be erased easily, for the simple fact that you're paying roughly 1/4 lesser for this drive, than the real Plextor PlexWriter. In fact, some shops are offering this Iomega drive for slightly above S$300. Hopefully, a future Iomega firmware update will correct the drive's flaw.
