Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) technology has been with us for quite a long time, and appears in everything from notebook computer displays to cell phones. Surprisingly however, they have not managed to take center stage in the desktop computing market despite their tiny size in comparison to traditional CRT monitors - mainly due to sky-high prices.
