The call quality on the V.66 is fine. Of course, you can choose whether to answer an incoming call when you immediately open the flip, or when you press one of the buttons (Soft key or Answer call key). Both call answering and making calls are pretty standard, so there is very little to adjust to if you've been a phone user just about all your life.
