"Stability of the writer was on a remarkably high level during all tests. We also have to praise an incredibly good performance while working simultaneously with other writers, no matter if the same data was written, or if every writer was recording different data. Teac's buffer was always on 90-95%, although it has only ~1.5MB buffer, and at the same time it didn't bother the other writers. Teac apparently did a very good job with its Buffer-under-run Proof, since there was a noticeable difference in quality in comparison with standard Burn-PROOF (used in Plextor's device). We tested this technology by recording an audio disk with 16x writing speed and by making a buffer under run every 5 seconds during the recording of 2 songs. Such CD was played on several different devices and no sound anomalies were present. This puts this protection right besides JustLink technology used with NEC's NR-7700A and NR-7800A."
