Over the past few months Shuttle Computer International, or known as Spacewalker in the East, has been experiencing rapid user growth since they released their AK31 v2.0. As you may remember from our AK31 v2.0 review we liked the board a lot and gave it Editor’s Choice. With the recent announcement of VIA’s KT266A, there’s no doubt Shuttle would introduce a new version of their award winning AK31 series.
This time around instead of reengineering the current design like they did with the second revision, they simply just dropped the KT266A northbridge on the existing revision 2 design. This is fine since KT266A’s should be able to be dropped onto current KT266 board designs without any problems and why fix something that isn’t broken? Shuttle’s new board is dubbed AK31 v3.1.
