The IBM 60GXP 60GB arrived with us sealed in an antistatic bag with nothing more than sticker indicating the model of the drive and where it was made, in our case the drive was made in Thailand but we've seen models from the Phillipines. The drive is factory sealed so you should not have to worry about any tamperings along the way. Although not the best form of packing we've seen, it is still enough to keep static from damaging the drive before it's put to good use. One of the most innovative packagings we've seen to date is of course, the SeaShell from Seagate - drives fit snuggly into their simple but very effective moulded plastic case and I believe that IBM should consider a similar form of packing too in their future drives.
