"Just recently, a panel of judges for the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco listened to arguments made by both the RIAA and Napster as to whether or not Napster should be shut down. With strength in numbers on both sides, ranging from high government offices to well-known Internet websites, the question of "What is going to happen?" is raised in many minds, including my own. After the first hearing on Tuesday October 2nd, the panel was unable to reach a decision. So, as for now, Napster is still up. The question now is "Will it stay that way?"
