Less than a month ago I had a look at Seagate’s low-profile Cheetah 36XL, with improved disk density and fewer platers the Cheetah 36XL proved to be a strong performer. There was only one area the low-profile SCSI unit lacked and that was storage. Offering 36Gig’s didn’t exactly make the Cheetah 36XL a monster in storage. As a result Seagate have just recently released the Cheetah 73LP (ST373405LW) offering a massive 73Gig’s of storage making it more than twice the size of the Cheetah 36XL.
