"It was a time, not long ago when BX chipset was the king of the market. More recently we thought that it was dead, just because Intel wasn't able to find a replacement for it capable of wearing its crown. VIA chipsets are new and sexy, but only the latest updates are capable of BX performance. I sincerely do not know why Intel didn't come up with a new flavor of BX. VIA chipsets are able to do several things that BX can't - for example UDMA66 and AGP 4x. At this time there are a lot of BX boards with UDMA66 or even UDMA100 due to additional IDE chips like the ones from High Point. AGP 4x is not possible, but who needs 4x? On our tests AGP 4x has below 1% advantage over AGP 2x. Abit made a tradition from their desire to improve BX chipset and BX133-RAID is the latest addition."
