"In English, to dock someone is an idiomatic expression that signifies to sanction; to punish. Consequently, in my continuing resistance to prevent the Internet from becoming Micronet, I've decided to e mail my CV in PDF format whenever potential employers ask for it in Word format or don't specify. Sending my CV in PDF is my way of docking the office."
