Soyo debuts 1GHz Athlon/P3 motherboards

New SOYO motherboards designed for Pentium III 1GHz CPUs will all feature standard SDRAM. Standard features on all New boards will include Ultra DMA 33/66.
SOYO will offer two new motherboards, the SY-7VCA ATX ($145.00 MSRP) and SY-7VCM MicroATX ($135.00 MSRP) -- for Intel's 1GHz Pentium III, Socket 370 CPUs. Both feature VIA's 694X chipset, which has selectable front side system bus speeds of 66/100/133 MHz. The boards have also been designed to support SDRAM to give users more cost-effective memory solution. The SY-7VCA is expandable to 1.5GB with three 168-pin SDRAM DIMM sockets while the SY-7CM is expandable to 1GB SDRAM.
