Joe the lucky guy over at Overclockers has gotton his hands on an Engineering sample of a Celeron II 533MHz. Apparently the Celeron benchmarks about the same as a PIII 600E, but runs a wee bit hotter. Other then that the two types of processors are virtually Identical, the only real difference being labeling and the bottom of the CPU which has the solder connects for capacitors, but none, and two little resistors. Overclockers is speculating that the Celeron II's may simply be PIII's with have the cache disabled.... The race is on for overclocking the Celeron II!
