Gigabyte GA-GF2560 GeForce 256 Review! - FrostyTech.com Gigabyte GA-GF2560 GeForce 256 Review!
Tue May 30, 2000 | 2:00P| PermaLink
Okay, I said I was sick of these GeForcs reviews and I go ahead an post another one... haaa haaa haa!
"As are so many of the nVidia based cards these days, the GA-GF2560 is based on the nVidia reference design. Hence, not much uniqueness here except for the striking blue color of the board, which is definitely a welcome change from the regular colors. The nVidia GPU is cooled with a heatsink and fan combination. The GA-GF2560 also features 32MB of SDRAM which is composed of eight 2MB EliteMT SDRAM chips. These chips proved to be extremely overclockable as is discussed further in the performance section. Finally, the TV-Out is controlled by the Brooktree 869 chip, although no tested in this review this chip has be consistently found to produce high-quality output."
