"It's a long story but, when I was working at Intel, some VP bet some other VP that my "group", couldn't finish a project on time (we did). The bet was that everyone in the group would get a processor, motherboard and RAM. So, we got the top of the line processors, but no one was wasting any money and gave us the very engineering samples that we had been testing on (kinda sad... parts that had already been abused). But, they were completely unlocked. There was of course a lot of paperwork to sign (never transfer, sell, or loan the part to anyone.....)."
