"For a while now all the overclockers of the world have relied on so called burn-in apps to check stability of their CPUs. Even we here at Insane Hardware have done this but there is more than meets-the-eye on this Burn-In process. So lets get a few things straight here, BURN IN is the technical name for TEST! And in most cases testing is performed after a complete circuit is finished. Sure, we are not saying that some systems don't need to be Burnt In before they become stable after a new CPU has been installed, but you will find like I have many times that if you put your Burnt In CPU in a new Motherboard, you will have the same problems that some people have with a brand new CPU. This is caused by many variables none of which are going to be solved by a burn in, but relates back to basic electronics. All overclockers must read this if they want to know why all CPUs dont overclock straight away and why sometimes their system plays up on the odd occasion."
