"Value? Yes, as in "bang for the buck", but not just that, bang for the buck for different user setups. It's all fine and dandy to test that brand new GeForce2 on a GHz-level CPU-as many of the larger sites have done- but what about the majority of users, who are running 750MHz, or less, machines? Perhaps even more importantly, what about the huge crowd of people using Celerons? I have seen a few reviews that went so far as to test a GeForce2 GTS on both a high-end and low-end machine, and a few that have tested the GeForce2 against the GeForce256. What I decided to show was the performance of both a GeForce2 GTS, and a GeForce256 DDR, as they perform under both a mid-level PIII 700, and a lower-end Celeron 466 (Mendicino Core), system; more to the value point-which of those two cards gives the best performance (bang) for the cost (buck) running under each of those processors."
