"It seems as if some ASUS A7V Socket A motherboards around Australia (and possibly the world) are being delivered with no or broken Socket A Clips making it hard to attach HSF's to the CPU. This could because of a manufacturing problem at ASUS or a postage problem. We cannot confirm the source problem phase at this stage. We are not making any accusations about who is to blame for the clip problems on the A7V, for all we know it could be a simple postage delivery problem or a more extensive problem at ASUS. Either way I'm sure Asus will rectify the problem straight away. Include in the article are pictures of the A7V with the clip broken off, quotes from other users who are experiencing the same problem and a temporary fix to the problem."
