"Tyan, a company mainly known for it's top quality server and high-end workstation motherboards, entered the desktop PC market a short time ago. With many years of experience making high-end boards, this company has no problem delivering home users with the same excellent quality motherboards for desktop systems. Ever since the release of the VIA KX133 chipset for Athlon based systems, many companies have joined in. Tyan has released it's Trinity K7, the KX133 based motherboard to support Slot-A AMD processors. The board made a good showing. Despite very limited overclocking ability, the performance and stability of this motherboard was right on top with boards from Asus and Abit. As the matter of fact, Trinity K7 was the only KX133 based motherboard in our KX133 boards roundup that worked right from the box when it came to the Windows 2000 installation."
