"For years, Intel's domination had left many with no choice when buying a new
pc, it was simple, the once strong line of pentium processors was the only one.
Intel perhaps played the market back then a little to laid back, leaving ample
space for less powerful companies to jump to the top, hence AMD. With the extensive
catalogue of cpu's from Intel, Amd and Via/Cyrix in todays world, finding a super
fast system but still maintaining a certain level of value for money is getting
harder and harder."
