"Out of the box I could see this was more like the KA7-2. It had the same exact box, same type of manual and the same configuration, well almost. There are six PCI slots, one AGP slot, and one ISA slot. This is the best motherboard configuration available. It seems Abit ditched the four DIMM slots on the KA7 and replaced it with a much more reasonable three. If you remember, the KA7 had some stability problems with all four DIMM slots occupied. To make up for it they put in a costly Texas Instruments data buffer. Of course this data buffer is absent from the KT7."
