"I have just bought a new Riva TNT 2 32 Mb Absolute Multimedia Graphics
Accelerator. Every time I try and run most games that use Direct3D or OpenGL
the computer blue screens (some crash in PCIVMD.VXD or something). The card
I have is a AGP 4x card and the crash refers to PCI. What is going wrong,
this problem began appearing recently when I changed my ATI Xpert 98 with
the Riva TNT 2 which I bought from Game I have previously had this problem
also with Elsa Erazor. I have also tried to use MGSetup (3DFX emulator and
that always crashs as well. And I have tried re-installing Windows to make
sure that no ATI drivers have been left over. Why is it blue screening with
all these 3D apps, the only apps I have managed to run are tr (N64 emu) and
Tomb Raider 4 the last revelation and the OpenGL screen savers. Other games
like Carmageddon and UltraHLE won't work at all am I better off taking this
card back to Game and getting a Voodoo PCI 3 2000 or sticking with the
nVidia."
