"The availability of easy to use tools like Borland's Kylix as well as growing awareness of tools like Python and wxPython should accelerate the production of desktop programs for Linux, especially if these tools are taught in Universities and Colleges. For home users, there is still a road to be traveled with plenty of room for educational software, games and business applications, but what needs to be achieved is both visible and attainable."
