Abstract: The first thing most people seem to notice is that the cooler is shaped like an "X" and positioned on its edge.

We'll avoid even talking about the test results for the TI-V86L on the large interface die because they are just too far out of spec, and realistically, this heatsink isn't designed to tackle that type of processor anyway. A heatsink with a large flat base would be much better suited in that event.

Rather, the TI-V86L ideally suited for the Socket A AMD processors, and given the position within this set of reference coolers we can say that the TI-V86L is a very good cooler, almost in the realm of performance cooling but not quite.

That could be easily remedied by switching out the relatively quiet fan used here with a larger and noisier version like a 38mm thick Delta. With the copper core, and very efficient design concept the TI-V86L could be upgraded for even tougher work, with even better results.

The only penalty would be the increase in noise, and that price is for you to decide!
