CB-6L Heatsink From All Angles
The Fan:
A standard 9-bladed 60mm fan from Sunon is used on the CB-6L. Output hovers around 19CFM so it is not one of the most powerful fans we have seen, but it is quiet. The fan connects to the motherboard fan header via a 3-pin connector which also supports RPM monitoring.

Heatsink Top:
The fins from the extrusion have been plated with nickel by the looks of it (could be wrong though), and are very smooth on the surface. Each of the 20 or so fins measures 34mm x 21mm. Individual fins are roughly 1mm thick, and spaced 2mm apart. The clip sits in a cut out section of the extrusion which measures 6mm wide.

Side A:
The clip necessitates the use of a small flat head screw driver to engage or remove it from the socket. It is easy to clip on in any case. The outside of the heatsink is smooth, and shiny from the metal plating.
Side B:
The most unique component of this plated aluminum extrusion heatsink is the copper heatspreader mounted to its base. The plate is about 2mm thick and is intended to move the heat from the processor core over to a larger surface area. The aluminum component of the base is 4mm thick.
Heatsink Base:
Shown with the protective cover still over the white thermal interface pad, the base is brushed copper. The surface is is fairly smooth, but not polished in any way. After checking with the straight edge we can see that in terms of flatness the base is slightly concave in the x-axis, and flat in the y-axis. This is a common situation on extruded heatsinks.
