Information on Frostytech's test methodology is available here.

The 80mm fan rotates at a fixed speed of 2000RPM, with power being supplied by a 3-pin fan header. The fan is not PWM compliant. The extruded aluminum body of the Igloo 5063 Cu Silent heatsink envelops a 28mm copper slug, which extends almost the full height of the cooler. The slug is 30mm tall, but the top 11mm of the cavity in the heatsink is a void. The heatsink itself is 90mm in diameter.

The extruded aluminum fins are 36mm high, while the fan is 25mm thick. Each aluminum fin is ~0.5mm thick, and spaced about 2.5mm apart at the edge. Standard Intel plastic push-to-click tabs are used to install the heatsink.

The 28mm diameter copper base stands 5mm proud of the extruded fins, and comes with a pre-applied square of grey thermal compound. The copper slug is solid, but only extends 25mm of the height of the aluminum body.
