The initial test results are looking surprisingly good for the Thermal Integration TI-RV108N, but is the rise above ambient temperature results we are really interested in. Given the extruded aluminum and copper core construction expectations are pretty high for the TI-RV108N to perform well.

Factoring in the ambient test temperatures drops the significance of the final results slightly compared to what we witnessed initially. The Thermal Integration TI-RV108N Pentium4 heatsink rounds out to have good thermal performance characteristics, but only compared to the all-aluminum stock Intel heatsink.

The TI-RV108N heatsink is a little noisy compared to other Pentium 4 heatsinks like the Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu, or even the stock Intel solutions, but it does have the necessary thermal efficiency to keep temperatures within good levels. Coming very close to breaking the 30 degree mark means that the TI-RV108N isn't quite a performance heatsink, but I think if you have this cooler in your case you should be satisfied with it... save for the 52 dBA noise it puts out.
