The JAKS29 is a compact heatsink by today's standards, but that doesn't hold it back from reaching very good thermal performance levels. The full copper heatsink and 5000RPM fan prove to be a good, if loud, mix that works. With the initial results already spoken for, let's have a look at where temperatures stand in the final rise above ambient results table below.

Alright, so the Jetart JAKS29 isn't exactly a stealthy heatsink. It makes noise, 56 dBA worth to be exact, but when you look at the above temperature results you can't help but go easy on the heatsink.

This is a gamer or enthusiast oriented heatsink and one which is well qualified for the job. The JAKS29 doesn't quite reach the performance level, but it does manage to out perform the Thermalright SK-7, and host of other very good heatsinks.

With base finish playing such an important role in how will a heatsink is able to interface with the processor core, it was surprising to find such a smooth finish on this heatsink. The base does dip a little from corner to corner, but the area where the AthlonXP core comes in contact with the copper is flat. I would have to say that the smoothness comes from the secondary process of plating the entire heatsink in copper. Machining marks are clearly visible, but the copper plating seems to have smoothed out the bumps, leaving a nearly mirror finish.

In any case, the Jetart JAKS29 is bound to be pretty affordable, and that makes it an ideal option for a gamers PC - so long as you don't mind putting up with the whine of that fan.
