The Fans:
With a nice long power cord that supports RPM monitoring, the JMC fan is rated at 7000RPM by the manufacturer. Two screws hold it in place and noise levels are pretty moderate all things considered. Because of the way the impeller is oriented, there is no need for a wire fan grill.

Bare Heatsink:

The cavity measures about 57mm in diameter and this is where the fan sits. The main core of the heatsink which sits directly below the fan is what makes contact with the core of the processor. The base plate you can see around the central finned section is press fit over the central core and is really only used to keep the heatsink in place within the heatsink retention mechanism.

Side A:
The fins are ~0.70mm thick and are spaced roughly 2.5mm at the outer edges of the cylinder. The finned section stands 50mm tall, and 69mm in diameter. The base plate which is used to hold the heatsink in the Pentium 4 heatsink retention mechanism is ~6mm thick.

Side B:
The heatsink looks identical from either side. Separate clips are used to hold the heatsink in place, and the side flanges are what those clips press down on.

Heatsink Base:
The heatsink arrived with a small circle of thermal compound pre-applied. It is difficult to see the actual point at which the two parts of aluminum come together to form the heatsink, but it is just a bit larger than the circle shown to the left here. The base has been sanded fairly flat, but nothing more than you would expect from an OEM class heatsink.
