Ajigo
Corporation makes heatsinks, and some of those coolers have become the default
AMD socket 754 and 939 coolers. The Ajigo MF043044 is a stacked aluminum fin and copper base heatsink that
first came into the FrostyTech test labs as a stock 754
heatsink. Its construction is simple, and it has been designed for a minimum acoustical
impact which we can all appreciate. The heatsink comes with a pre-applied
patch of Shin Etsu G751 thermal compound on it, so installation
is dead simple.
Tooless installation is
accomplished by means a clip and cam lever system which applies the correct
pressure on the AMD K8 processor below. The heatsink is sold by the manufacturer
directly.

The density of the Ajigo MF043044's stacked aluminum fins is such that a smaller footprint still yields the necessary cooling capability. The fins are nickel plated to allow each assembly to be soldered to the copper below.
FrostyTech's Test Methodology is outlined in detail here if you would like to know about the parameters under which this
heatsink will be evaluated. Now let's take
a closer look at the Ajigo MF043044 heatsink, its acoustic characteristics, and thermal
test results!
