Neng Tyi P365 Lil' Turbine Heatsink Review
Feb 28, 2001 - Frosty No.571
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

One good way to do that is to slap on a massive copper heatsink with a massive Nidec Beta SL fan. At this point the only thing cooler would be to turn off your machine...

Feb 26, 2001 - Frosty No.565
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

This isn't quite what you expect to see when you hear the name Thermaltake, but this square heatsink is indeed one of theirs.

Vantec FCE-62540D Heatsink Review
Feb 15, 2001 - Frosty No.554
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

When we first got this cooler we were a little taken back by the sheer size of it... When we plugged it in we knew by the sound of the fan, that the FCE-62540D meant business.

Ascent AC300-4P Heatsink Review
Feb 05, 2001 - Frosty No.549
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

Ascent makes the kind of heatsinks you'll see sitting on a shelf at your local computer store. This little guy, the AC300-4P caught our eye a while ago on a recent parts hunting trip.

Neng Tyi Subete Doda Review
Jan 31, 2001 - Frosty No.546
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

Neng Tyi may not be on the tip of most hard core cooling fanatics minds' but what it lacks in brand recognition it makes up for in power... solid copper power!

Thermaltake Super Orb Review
Jan 22, 2001 - Frosty No.542
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

Ahh The SuperORB... giant among heatsinks everywhere, round and strange in design, and holder of the best "price vs. performance" title for a heatsink.

Cooler Master CH5-5K12 Heatpipe Heatsink
Jan 11, 2001 - Frosty No.532

Cooling Fundamentals: Beware the CPU fan of DEATH!
Nov 22, 2000 - Frosty No.473
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

A few of us have smelt the acrid odor of melting plastic emanating from the depths of a computer. Thankfully not all of us have had to buy a new processor the very next day...

Thermaltake Blue Orb Chipset Cooler
Nov 08, 2000 - Frosty No.434
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

New RAM, new CPU's and such are very interesting, however, the most "exciting" and interesting products usually revolve around overclocking.

Frostytech Cooling Fundamentals: Dusty Computers
Oct 05, 2000 - Frosty No.388
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

Chances are if you've had your computer for more than six months there is some level of dust inside. While dust under the couch may be bad to look at dust in the computer can cause problems.

AOS Non-Silicon Thermal Compound Review
Sep 25, 2000 - Frosty No.378
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

A majot part of every overclockers' toolkit should be a nice assortment of thermal pastes. For most of us, those little packs that come with better heatsinks make up our collection of pastes.

Frostytech Fatty Case Mods
Sep 13, 2000 - Frosty No.365
Category: Cases

What better way to modify the Fatty Case then by drilling it full of big, and I mean big holes. With all those tiny vents it was practically asking for it anyway.

Overclocking with the Frostytech ACPSink
Sep 09, 2000 - Frosty No.360
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

It's one of a kind design was as of yet unproven, so the time to prove it had arrived. In moments we would bolt the ACPsink onto a 550 Mhz Athlon to see if all the hard work had not been in vain.

Frostytech ACPSink
Sep 09, 2000 - Frosty No.359
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

The Frosty ACPSink is a one of a kind Athlon heatsink. It's made from an aluminum plate and sixty-odd sections of imbedded copper pipe.

Athlon Overclocking Card
Aug 31, 2000 - Frosty No.352
Category: CPU / Processors

At this time in the AMD overclocking world, the GFD is beginning to look as old as PC100 RAM (I guess that's why Mac's have to look so stylish...).

Jul 21, 2000 - Frosty No.302
Category: Editorial

Of all computer components, probably the greatest rate of evolution belongs to the stalwart hard drive, but something called superparamagnetic effect may soon bring an end to this golden age.

Frostytech CopperPins Heatsink
Jun 28, 2000 - Frosty No.277
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

There is nothing like the sight of a solid copper heatsink atop ones' heavily overclocked CPU.... in fact is there anything comparable? We made one, then tested it.

Jun 13, 2000 - Frosty No.255

The Alpha PFH6035 is still one of the staples for overclocking in these days of FC-PGA's. If you have a celeron, you should be overclocking it with an Alpha.
