"Noctua's low profile NH-L9x65 heatsink stands just 64mm tall and has a very compact footprint of only 95x95mm. The NH-L9x65 is designed to cool some fairly intensive Intel sockets, along with the full spectrum of AMD processors and APUs. Compact CPU coolers can be a little tricky to install, but Noctua long ago laid down the framework of an excellent motherboard mounting system,, so the NH-L9x65 is a breeze to work with. "

The heatsink uses a dead simple extrusion design, and some rather interesting clips which are screwed into place on the heatsink itself.

Chauh-Choung DTA-15 Heatsink Review
Feb 03, 2002 - Frosty No.956
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

The DTA-15 looks very similar to the Thermalright CB-6L on the outset, but on closer inspection the DTA-15 is not nearly as chromed, and has a slightly different extrusion pattern.

Thermal Integration TI-S8640L HeatsinK Review
Jan 27, 2002 - Frosty No.949
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

The TI-S86 and the TI-V86 are virtually identical save for one very important aspect. This heatsink, the TI-S86 is all aluminum.

Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

In some situations however, quiet computers are really necessary. For example, if a computer is on 24/7 in someone's room or you work in a sound studio, lots of noise is just not going to cut it.

Vantec GSN-7025 Socket 478 Heatsink Review
Jan 20, 2002 - Frosty No.933

A 70mm YS-Tech fan with 7 blades (and a fan guard) is what keeps the GSN-7025 cool.

Vantec GSN-7015 Socket 478 Heatsink Review
Jan 20, 2002 - Frosty No.932
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

Powered by a chunky 70mm fan the GSN-7015 produces only a moderate amount of noise, much like other socket 478 heatsinks on the market.

AVC 117160 Socket 478 Heatsink Review
Jan 20, 2002 - Frosty No.931
Category: Cooling / Heatsinks

The market of socket 478 heatsinks is thus quite a bit smaller than that of the socket heatsink market, but it is equally important to consumers.

AVC 112AM1 Copper Skive Heatsink Review
Jan 07, 2002 - Frosty No.916
